Summer Foraging – June

Date: Saturday, June 11th

Time: 10am – 12noon

Summer Foraging

Soft, pale greens scatter the landscape in Spring but wait a little longer and you will get the deep, lush greens of Summer. This is the time the hardier plants for your health make their appearance. Following along the seasons you will see new plants come calling. Look around and you will see the plant allies of Summer.

In this two hour workshop you will walk around the Farm and Woods with our local Herbalist, Robyn, and learn the basics of foraging, how and when, the health benefits of the plants and how to use them. You will leave with an understanding of foraging and how to connect with the Earth. You will also learn how to make an Electrolyte drink to keep you hydrated through the hot summer months.

Robyn Weixler, Herbalist

Robyn Weixler has always been drawn to nature, feeling at home in the woods amongst the wild plants. Over years of cultivating a relationship with the medicinal herbs on her land she has developed a very pragmatic, hands-on teaching philosophy. Robyn offers easy, practical ways to use plants in everyday life for better health and wellness and wants to teach others how easy it can be. Learning never ends and she is always excited to learn about a new plant. She is a homeschool mom and loves showing her son about the natural ways and connecting with the Earth and nature around them.
