Join mushroom cultivator and forager Kacy Binz for a deep dive into the fascinating world of Reishi, often called the Mushroom of Immortality. This legendary fungus has been revered in traditional medicine for thousands of years for its ability to support longevity, vitality, immunity, and stress resilience—earning its almost-mythical name.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn:

• Why Reishi is known as the Mushroom of Immortality, including its powerful medicinal properties and historical use
• How to identify and forage Reishi safely in the wild
• Why Reishi is medicine, not food—it’s too tough and woody to eat, but incredibly potent when prepared properly as

  

  tea, tinctures, or extracts

• How Reishi can be used for art and jewelry, thanks to its beautiful, lacquered surface that preserves well and can be used decoratively
• How to grow your own Reishi, including making a take-home Reishi grow kit

Reishi mushrooms are more rare and slower-growing than oysters, making them extra special—but with the right

knowledge and care, they’re absolutely within reach for home growers. This workshop is designed to empower and inspire, whether you’re brand new to mushrooms or already cultivating.

Kacy has experience growing a wide variety of delectable mushrooms, such as lions mane, oysters, piopinno, white beech, chestnut, nameko and more.  She also enjoys foraging for wild mushrooms and plants, as well as making tea blends and tinctures. Her goal is to inspire people to incorporate more mushrooms into their diet, to become more connected with nature and our source of food, and to make delicious and creative recipes using mushrooms!

Craft a macrame necklace to keep your crystals close to your heart, where they work their best magic! Designed so that you can easily change out your crystals to accommodate your mood and color choices, this necklace is also adjustable to go from choker to long pendant and any length in between. The skill level required is only the ability to tie a simple knot. If you’ve always wanted to learn to macrame, this is a great beginner workshop.

We will be discussing the healing properties and care of crystals.

You will pull a card from the Crystallary Oracle Cards by Maia Toll to discover the crystal ally most potent for your journey at this time.

All materials to craft your necklace are included in the price, including one amethyst quartz crystal.

We will have a wide array of additional crystals available for purchase.

Shannon is the owner of Water Street Wellness and her reiki practice Anavah Mind Body Soul. Shannon is a champion of women, practitioners, and students. You will often hear her talk about connecting to your “you-ness” because she believes wholeheartedly in each individual’s authenticity being nurtured and given space to bloom.

She began her formal studies with a farm based herbal foundations course with Bluestem Botanicals followed by a 3 year apprenticeship with Robin Rose Bennet of Wise Woman Ways. April is currently continuing her plant path with online studies at The School of Evolutionary Herbalism and North West School of Aromatic Medicine.

Succulents

This is a hands-on, beginner friendly workshop that will guide you in creating a personalized open glass Succulent Terrarium.

You will learn to layer substrate to create drainage, arrange succulents and decorate with different elements (such as stone,

moss, sand and figurines.)

Everyone will assemble and take home a long lasting, low maintenance miniature garden!

This is a fun, relaxing creative experience that appeals to both teenagers and adults~ bring a friend for a tranquil afternoon on

the farm!
