Farm FAQ

Is there an admission to visit the farm?

There is no admission to visit the farm. We are open from May through October: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 2pm. The general public is invited during those hours to come shop at our lavender boutique and enjoy the farm.

What are your hours?

We are open May through October: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm. During our high season from mid June to the first week of July when the lavender is in first bloom we are open additional week days for PYO lavender workshops. Please see the Workshop page for ticket purchase for PYO lavender workshops in season.

When is the lavender in bloom?

The first bloom of English lavender is from mid June to the end of June, approximately 2 weeks. Our French lavender comes into bloom the last week of June through the first week of July, approximately 2 weeks. Tickets are available for PYO lavender workshops when we are in first bloom. See the Workshop page.

Our second bloom starts in August through October and, though not as visually spectacular it is also a great time to book PYO lavender tickets.

Is there a lavender shop on the farm?

Yes. Our Tiny Shop is open during farm hours: May through October: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.

You may purchase from the Tiny Shop online year round. Your order may be shipped USPS or you may schedule for pick up on the farm.

Our products include culinary lavender products, lavender beauty products and lavender products for the home.

Do you offer Pick Your Own Lavender?

Yes. Our lavender comes into spectacular first bloom mid June for approximately 3 weeks in total. We offer mini workshops to instruct you in how to pick your own lavender. The mini workshop covers varieties of lavender, care and use of your lavender bunches and care of the lavender bush. No one is permitted to pick their own lavender without taking the mini workshop. Please see the Workshop page to reserve PYO tickets in season.

Do you host private events?

Yes. You may reserve the farm for a micro event for up to 10, 16 or 24 guests. Please visit our our Private Parties page for more details.

Are there refunds?

We will happily refund or reschedule up to 7 days before the event. After 7 days, there are no refunds or rescheduling. In the event of rain, if your event is not tented or sheltered, the event will be cancelled or rescheduled. Your ticket will be then be rescheduled or refunded in full, as you wish.

Are dogs allowed on the property?

We do allow dogs that are well behaved, leashed and cleaned up after with a poop bag.

If your dog misbehaves, you will be asked to take your dog home.

Is the farm handicap friendly?

We have no paved walkways on the farm. The ground is level for walking and the lawn is mowed. Our porta-potty is not, unfortunately, handicap sized.

Is the farm open if it rains?

A light rain is enjoyable on the farm. A heavy rain that lasts all day will cause most events to be canceled. If you would like to shop for lavender and we are experiencing heavy rains please text us at 908 310-5973 and we will arrange that for you.

Goat Yoga FAQ

Do I need to bring anything to Goat Yoga?

Yes, we ask that you bring a towel to lay over the mat that we provide for your session.

We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle that can be re-filled with well water for no cost. Single use plastic is not permitted on the farm.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes. Goaties love to nibble so please keep in mind that they may give your clothes a little "souvenir" nibble. Our sessions are held outdoors, so it’s best to wear layers.

Is Goat Yoga held rain or shine?

If the rain is in the forecast our events will be sheltered or tented. If we make the decision to cancel the event due to inclement weather, we will email and text message all attendees that the session is canceled 12 hours in advance and your ticket will be fully refunded.

Kids need to be 8 years or older to attend a regular event.

No. Some people just like to sit on their mat and snuggle goats.

Yes, our events are held outside and your peeps are free to watch and take photos.

Are the goats in a separate area while the class is happening?

No, the goats are free to wander and snuggle up next to you.

Do the goats poop all over you?

Goats have small pellets and they are not messy. It’s not often, but when it does happen that the pellets land on your mat, our Goat Handler will assist in clean up and provide you with a fresh towel to protect your mat.

Do your goats bite or headbutt?

No, but they will they nibble at your zippers/buttons. Yes they do head butt, but they’ve never destroyed anything. They’ve also never headbutted a human before. They just want to be pet and cuddled.

Do you force the goats to participate?

No. The goats are not forced to stand on your back or do tricks. Our classes are not a required performance for them. The goats genuinely just prefer to be by humans and all they really want is to be pet and receive affection.
